The mode of action and treatment with IPL Skin Renew
Our IPL SR skin rejuvenation procedure uses intense pulsed light to heat uneven pigmentation, which loosens pigment stuck in the skin and stimulates the surrounding tissue to form new collagen. And best of all: the skin also looks younger and flawless after the treatment.
A cooling gel that is applied to the skin for treatment, combined with several highly efficient cooling systems on the IPL device, enables a gentle and maximally painless treatment.
Because the pulsed light kills the bacteria and new collagen is produced over time, we also achieve excellent results with IPL treatment for inflammatory acne.

The likelihood of permanent removal varies depending on the type of pigmentation, although all are characterized by locally increased melanin production.
IPL Skin Renew produces very good results in the treatment of age spots or café-au-lait spots. In this case, there is a good chance that the irregular pigmentation will not return.
For other types of irregular pigmentation, however, only temporary eradication is realistic. This applies in particular to freckles, but also to pigmentation disorders caused by hormonal changes (pregnancy, birth control pills), sunlight, increased pigmentation or local reactions to cosmetics.
Safety first
Before starting the IPL Skin Renew procedure, a doctor’s visit is required to confirm that the atypical pigmentation is harmless. IPL treatment should not be used to remove congenital or acquired pigmentation as it prevents histological analysis.
